Greetings, house guests. You must be a little more familiar with how things work around here now. There is no escape.

One thing does seem to have changed: characters can now freely investigate the now unlocked Crypt.

On Sunday, nothing much at all happens. Better take the time to rest, recuperate, and decide your next steps. Maybe you have people you want to talk to after that … shit show? Now’s the time: unload those feelings.

Alternatively, with the pantry open with plenty of food available, why not wander into the kitchen for a snack and a chat with whoever is there?

Come Monday, everyone will make up to a most unpleasant surprise: their motive for the week.

Unfortunately for those characters with questions about the motive, Pratibha is nowhere to be found afterwards. Additionally, all the profile entries for Leona, Phoenix, and Yoojin have changed. It’s a fairly clear indicator that they are dead. Enjoy this useful information!

On Tuesday, there are two noticeable changes. The first is that there is a new puzzle. The second thing? Pratibha’s presence. She's finally back. Why was she missing on Sunday and Monday? Why does she seem so … out of it? She’s all curled up in the laundry room this time, intermittently snoozing in the little nook off to one side.

On Wednesday, Pratibha is gone again. And so, unfortunately, is one of your own. What happened? Who is it? All subsequent headers, including Wednesday's, will be frozen until a Wednesday event can take place. We will announce to the playerbase once Wednesday's thread is live for you to investigate!

Thursday brings a very specific change: after 9 PM, no one get into, or out of, your rooms. Plan wisely. You may get stuck in the halls, which might be fine … except we know what happened last Thursday night.

Thursday also brings with it another new puzzle.

Friday is investigation time The investigation post will go live at 3 PM EST, 5/9.

Saturday is the day of your “first” real ritual. You may find the ritual post here at 12 PM EST, 5/10.

[Right, she did mention that prior. He gets the idea. If he relied on a singular means of fighting and that was taken from him, he'd want to take up a new way to protect himself.]

Y'know, I had this exact idea cross my mind.

[People should know how to keep themselves alive in a murder game. The house might've limited them to the bare minimum, but some of them have an edge over the others. Teaching them how to fight or dodge would be practical and may save their lives.

Ranma doesn't adopt a fighter's stance like one might expect, instead keeping his arms behind his side and bobbing on the balls of his heels.]

[ ... she's pretty rankled by her failure. ]

[Keeping that cheeky grin, though he's trying to play it off as impassive.]

I expected you to at least try. C'mon. I know three-hundred old codgers who can punch faster than that.

[Not hyperbole.]

[ He's annoyed her enough that she'll actually try.

Without any warning she pulls her arm back and very genuinely tries to hit him this time, putting as much strength and speed behind it as she can manage.

It's not great. But it's a real attempt. ]

[catsgothistongue]

[It was like an animal's playing with its food. This time, Ranma waits until Lortel's fist reaches an inch away from his face before dropping down to a crotch. He rests his arms behind his back, face stuck in that earlier shit-eating smirk looking up at the redhead.]

[ thoroughly humiliated, she barks at him: ]

If you’re not going to take this seriously and just spend the whole time making fun of me, I can go!

I am taking this seriously! This is all part of how it's done!

[She asked for his help! If she can't handle the heat, she's free to leave the greenhouse!]

... Pop never really explained what I needed to improve on before during my training? [Sheepishly scratching his chin.] He'd just bark at me over and over 'till I figured it out on my own.

[It worked wonders for him, though that's due to adapting and working things out on his own is a science to him.]

[ brings herself up short. Ranma is the last person who would want pity. Instead she comes over thoughtful ]

[Smart call on her end. Ranma'd rather stay as a girl permanently than have someone pity him.

Explain it to her... A proper instructor would do that, right?]

Your last punch wasn't all that bad, all things considered. But when you're throwing a punch, you're gonna wanna turn your hips while punching to give it that extra oomph.

[He demonstrates as such to the best of his ability without a proper dummy, going through the motion of a straight jab, twisting his hip as such.]

Turn my hips? Like this?

[ she moves to stand next to him, watching a moment longer before trying it herself. And then trying it again, and again, and again, and…

After over a dozen repetitions she pauses, finding her breath is coming a little faster. ]

Any better?

[catsgothistongue]

[Nodding his head approvingly.]

A little. [By little, he means it's a vast improvement to how she performed earlier.] Here's another tip that involves turning your body: when you're getting hit, like someone's punching you, you'll want to turn with the punch to minimize the damage.

[Does that mean he's gonna punch her to practice it. Nope.]

[richesse]

Show me.

[ she says it with no fear whatsoever. ]

[Turning his back on her with his arms crossed.]

[richesse]

[ her eyebrows shoot up—then lower back down in a grimace of irritation. ]

Please tell me this isn’t some “I don’t hit girls” thing.

[catsgothistongue]

[Turning his head with a frown.]

I don't hit girls that aren't a serious threat, or tryin' to kill me. Don't get it twisted.

[And even that latter part doesn't always warrant him seriously fighting them. Now when he's a girl, it's a-okay.]
