Greetings, house guests. You must be a little more familiar with how things work around here now. There is no escape.

One thing does seem to have changed: characters can now freely investigate the now unlocked Crypt.

On Sunday, nothing much at all happens. Better take the time to rest, recuperate, and decide your next steps. Maybe you have people you want to talk to after that … shit show? Now’s the time: unload those feelings.

Alternatively, with the pantry open with plenty of food available, why not wander into the kitchen for a snack and a chat with whoever is there?

Come Monday, everyone will make up to a most unpleasant surprise: their motive for the week.

Unfortunately for those characters with questions about the motive, Pratibha is nowhere to be found afterwards. Additionally, all the profile entries for Leona, Phoenix, and Yoojin have changed. It’s a fairly clear indicator that they are dead. Enjoy this useful information!

On Tuesday, there are two noticeable changes. The first is that there is a new puzzle. The second thing? Pratibha’s presence. She's finally back. Why was she missing on Sunday and Monday? Why does she seem so … out of it? She’s all curled up in the laundry room this time, intermittently snoozing in the little nook off to one side.

On Wednesday, Pratibha is gone again. And so, unfortunately, is one of your own. What happened? Who is it? All subsequent headers, including Wednesday's, will be frozen until a Wednesday event can take place. We will announce to the playerbase once Wednesday's thread is live for you to investigate!

Thursday brings a very specific change: after 9 PM, no one get into, or out of, your rooms. Plan wisely. You may get stuck in the halls, which might be fine … except we know what happened last Thursday night.

Thursday also brings with it another new puzzle.

Friday is investigation time The investigation post will go live at 3 PM EST, 5/9.

Saturday is the day of your “first” real ritual. You may find the ritual post here at 12 PM EST, 5/10.

[Lortel might not've been lucky at landing a hit on him, but the greenhouse's sprinklers always hit its mark. Miraculously (and comedically karmic) only Ranma got drenched by them, Lortel's dry as a desert.]

Ranma! [ she bursts out with it, more startled than anything…

… then starts to laugh. ]

So~ does this rule of yours still hold now that you’re a girl, too?

[Grinding her teeth together, looking so close to contemplate fighting the sprinklers themselves.

Hate hate hate hate hate HATE. She really oughta stop going inside the greenhouse. Or figure out the schedule for the timer...]

... [Melodramatic sigh, she turns around to face the now slightly taller girl.] On the count of three, got it?

[Ranma doesn't want to actually hurt her for real.]

[ a triumphant smile flickers across her face. ]

Turn with the punch, [ she murmurs. ] Alright. On your count.

[The tiny pink-haired former boy gets into position, and--]

Three!

[A short, but fast, jab at Lortel. She aims for the torso, for both center of mass reasons and for not wanting to punch a girl in the face reasons.]

[ she tries to roll with it, but her timing is a little too slow. So Ranma, for her efforts, gets a resounding oof! ]

Again, [ she demands, utterly unsatisfied. ]

[It took a lot for Ranma to not wince, and she isn't the one getting hit here.]

Ya' sure? We can do this some other day--

Ranma, I truly want to learn. Why should I let a bruise or six stop me?

[Any further argument or hesitation fizzles out. Lortel's really serious about this... Kudos to her, Ranma has to commend her moxie.

She gives a curt and firm nod.]

Suit yourself.

[Another straight punch is thrown, this time aiming for Lortel's shoulder.]

[ she gets closer this time. She still moves too late—but just in time to avoid catching the full force of the blow.

If she’s in any pain, she doesn’t show it, stalwart and upright to the last. ]

[Ask and Lortel shall receive.

Ranma jabs left hook after right hook after left, again and again and again. However many times it takes until Lortel can roll with the punch. Each blow delivered felt like an aluminum bat being swung into her, and while Ranma's careful to not break any ribs or cause serious damages, Lortel isn't walking away without a bruise or six or seven.]

[ It hurts. It does.

She doesn’t let it faze her. She’s been through much worse than this.

It takes her several tries, but finally she manages to anticipate his timing and rolls with the blow. It glances off her, barely even painful. ]

There. There, [ she pants, holding her aching shoulder. ]

[Slow, slow golf claps.]

Good job. Now all you gotta do is do that on the first go 'stead of the twenty-third one, and you're golden.

[Ranma, ever the man with brilliant insights and teachings.]
