Another week gone, and with it, two of your number. Only eleven of you remain alive. And still, there is no escape. Or is there?

This week, something has changed. Something is different. Beginning Sunday, Pratibha is gone, and cannot be found or located at all. After Sunday's puzzle is solved, and the attic opened to you, you will see why. But what has happened? How has this happened? And why is the only other object there a strange mirror? Perhaps you should investigate.

On Monday morning, your motive quickly becomes apparent. Will you isolate yourself? Will you risk being around others? The choice, as ever, is yours.

On Tuesday, the week's second puzzle becomes available, and with its solving, the game room. If you wanted another way to unwind from all the stress, pressure, and uncertainty, at least there's this?

Come Wednesday, you may realize that at last you have full run of the house. Every room is available to you now. Nevertheless, you cannot run from the messages, which come thicker and faster than ever.

On Thursday, you may wish to visit the greenhouse. There is nothing there for you--including no mysterious messages, from the dead or otherwise. Should you wish for a reprieve, the greenhouse will grant it to you. That is, at least until curfew. Should you remain out of your room past that time, the messages will return, and they will be utterly inescapable no matter where you go--or if you are alone.

Friday is investigation time once again. The investigation post will go live at 3 PM EST, 5/30.

Saturday is the day of your fourth real ritual. The ritual post will go live at 12 PM EST, 6/1.

[ Leon can't help but think that's a lot of pressure to put on yourself from the moment you're born, but, well. Who is he to talk? Do as I say, not as I do. A thought does occur to him, though, and he sits back, idly fidgeting with the balled up wallpaper in his hand. ]

Does your plan still work if some miracle happens and you get out of this in one piece? I guess there's a chance you'd still be in the ocean, but. Talking best case scenario here.

[Ah. Suddenly, Aqua can't even keep up the pretense of looking in Leon's general direction. He doesn't say anything, just pulls his coffee a little closer to his chest.

So, like. No. It doesn't still work. If his father turns up dead and he doesn't, that just kind of looks bad all around.]

[ That's what he was afraid of. No wonder Aqua had seemed so calm about all this. He must've been braced for it already. Resigned.

His expression darkens at that, furious and bereaved on Aqua's behalf mostly, but at him too, just a little. What a heavy burden to leave his sister with, even if it was to save her. If Aqua had to be so thorough about things then Leon kind of doubts he told her the details, but all the same...

Leon breathes out, slowly, before he can get too heated about any of it. ]

I see. When we get out of here - we'll figure something out.

[Aqua's expression, such as it is, is a complicated one.]

Kennedy...

[What's left to figure out? He made his bed, and now he'll have to lie in it. A knot in his chest pulls tighter, all the old, familiar threads of guilt twanging in sympathy with new pain; the realization that he'll be one more loss to these people, that there are more people who will grieve his absence, cuts into his heart like a cinching wire.

Is he supposed to deny that quiet, matter-of-fact hope of Leon's? Should he, when the most important lesson Ai taught him was how important a lie can be?

Aqua looks down into his coffee, finding only his faint reflection in the surface, and goes along with it. Like always.]
